Clay Target Shooting

Range admission includes the use of post-mounted, manually-operated, spring-loaded throwers that extend clay targets in one direction (away from shooter) about 40 yds. There are (9) throwers available at all times, and each allows for single or double clay target shooting.

The clay targets themselves are not provided, so you may bring your own or purchase from the range. Boxes of (90) are $20.00, and stacks of (15) are $5.00

Shot size must be 7 1/2, 8 or 9. Load size must be no more than 3 1/4 drams.

First-time users must receive a range officer escort and safety briefing, before any shooting commences. The throwers are powerful, and improper use can cause injury.

Stationary Target Shooting

Separate from the clay target range is another area for pattern checking, test firing, etc. It is affectionately known as

the "box range" due to the abundance of cardboard boxes used as targets. The range

always has a collection of boxes available, and you're welcome to bring cardboard

targets of your own. Paper targets may be affixed to the boxes, if desired, and a staple gun works best.
